Toronto music school Ontario College of Percussion and Music offers music lessons with professional musicians and teachers from the Toronto area. Since it's founding in 1965 by Paul Robson, the school has remained commited to providing a high level of music education through our hobbyist and professional programs. At OCOPM, we feel it is important to properly educate our students and to have fun doing it. Beginner students are often performing songs by the end of their first lesson, and understanding the music theory and reading to go along with it. Advanced students will find that we can provide them with a depth of knowledge and skill beyond College and University programs.

The music school speciallizes in private lessons for Drums, Guitar & Electric Bass, Piano and Keyboard, Percussion, Brass and Woodwinds. Programs can focus on a specific musical style or a broad range of genres including Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Classical, and more. About Private Music Lessons

Music lessons are available for the hobbyist and professional on a weekly basis at the school. We provide focused lessons for the serious minded student while also creating a relaxing atmosphere for the hobbyist. Our program can be tailored to meet your needs. We specialize in developing the student's technical abilities, musicality, and understanding of music theory. Openings are also available for students who are interested in a fun and relaxing musical experience, providing the opportunity to learn about an instrument at your own pace.

Instrument Rentals

The school offers instrument rentals to students at competitive rates. Available rental instruments include entry-level and upgraded drumsets, acoustic and electric guitar, and electric basses.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for our 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute music lessons. Certificates can be purchased at the school and are available in any quantity. Gift recipients can schedule lessons with us at their convenience.
